The Pampers Promise: Safety for Your Baby
Our Promise
For more than 50 years, parents have trusted Pampers to care for their babies. We work hard to earn that trust every day by providing you with safe, high-quality products to help you protect and care for your baby.
We Use Safe, Gentle Diaper Ingredients
Pampers diapers, wipes and pants are made from ingredients that are thoroughly evaluated and proven to be safe. We partner with leading pediatricians, pediatric dermatologists and safety experts to confirm that the materials we use in our products are safe for babies. The ingredients we use are common in most diapers and baby wipes, and are used safely by millions of babies around the world, every day. To learn more about these ingredients, read our article about What's in a Diaper.
As scientists and parents ourselves, we start with a healthy dose of skepticism about the safety of an ingredient. We screen out all ingredients that could be considered unsafe in a baby or children's product. If we aren't convinced of an ingredient's safety, we don't use it.
We Define Safe Product Usage
We define a safe level for every ingredient that we use with the same scientific process used by regulatory agencies around the world, such as the FDA, EPA, WHO and EU.
At Pampers and P&G, more than 700 scientists and professionals work with leading health experts, such as pediatricians and pediatric dermatologists, to ensure that our baby products meet all safety and regulatory requirements around the world.
We also evaluate all the ingredients in our final products to confirm that their actual use is within the safe range for both consumers and the environment. We conduct extensive testing to allow moms to experience our products in real-life situations and adhere to the highest industry standards for safety, performance and quality.
We Closely Monitor Safety and Quality
When it comes to babies, safety is our top priority. Even after product development is complete, we continue to monitor the safety and quality of our products. We have robust quality systems in place throughout the manufacturing process, we conduct market quality checks in shops, and we listen carefully to feedback and questions from the moms and dads that buy our products when they contact our consumer care team.
