There must be something in the water out in Malibu and the Hollywood Hills. When it comes to naming children, celebrity tastes run the gamut from Blue Angel to Pilot Inspektor.
Common items like fruits and geographic locations are favourites among celebrities, but some names go above and beyond!
Celebrities aren’t the only ones who’ve come up with something unusual when naming their children, either.
In the United States, there are groups of parents fond of naming their children after fashion designers (Coco, Dior), cars (Mercedes, Lexus) and carbonated beverages (Pepsi and Fanta).
But perhaps the best list of don’t-try-this-at-home names was compiled by Time magazine. The editors there combed through recent baby name data to dig up the following quirky names:
